MIDDLEBURG — Ascension St. Vincent’s Clay received one of America’s Best Maternity Care Hospitals in 2024 by Newsweek at its highest five ribbon level.
This is the first year it has been recognized with this prestigious honor. The Best Maternity Care distinction recognizes facilities that have provided exceptional care to mothers, newborns and their families based on three data sources. These include nationwide online surveys of hospital managers and maternity healthcare professionals, medical key performance indicators relevant to maternity care and patient satisfaction data.
“Our goal is to provide high-quality, personalized care for every family at every stage of their pregnancy journey,” said St. Vincent’s Clay County President and CEO Bryan Walrath. “This honor is a testament to the hard work and capabilities of the doctors, nurses and staff at our Family Birth Place.”
The Family Birth Place at St. Vincent’s Clay County delivers personalized care before, during and after pregnancy. It is a baby-friendly, gold-safe-sleep-certified organization with nursing staff trained in spinning baby techniques that help babies get into position for birth.
The unit also offers infant CPR training and on-site lactation services to ensure our new parents feel prepared to take home their new bundle of joy.
St. Vincent’s was recently selected to the U.S. News and World Report’s 2024 Best Hospitals for Maternity Care (Uncomplicated Pregnancy) list. Fortune and PINC AI also named the hospital one of the top 15 health systems in the country for 2024.
