JACKSONVILLE - Keystone Heights High's boys and girls golf team flexed a bit of muscle at their respective region golf matches with golfers Alex Addington taking 19th in region 1-1A and junior Candace Jackson and her Lady Indians set to go on Tues., Nov. 2 in their region championship match at St. Johns Golf and Country Club. Jackson won her district title with a 78 score at Quail Heights Country Club last week.
Addington, top finisher for Keystone Heights throughout the regular season, pushed through with a 19th place finish at 7-over 79 at the Marsh Landing Country Club in a lineup of the top 19 all finishing in the 70s.
Top finishers were Camden Goldknopf of Episcopal and David Chavez of Pensacola Catholic both with 2-Under par 70s.
For Bishop Snyder, Matthew French, an Orange Park resident, finished 14th with a 77.
Addington with a 40-39 finish for his nine hole rounds, double bogied his second hole, but then dropped quick with a triple bogie on his final hole after two birdies and two pars.
