KEYSTONE HEIGHTS – Days after announcing it was closing its doors, Winn-Dixie Company said it was purchasing three of Hitchcock’s stores, including the grocery at 7380 State Road 100.
According to a press release on Tuesday, Oct. 21, the store will be remodeled and opened by the summer of 2026. It will feature an expanded liquor store portfolio and grow its Own Brand product assortment, highlighted by the return of its Lip Lickin’ Chicken, third-party online grocery delivery services and return kiosks.
Winn-Dixie has also purchased Hitchcock’s in Alachua and Williston.
The announcement comes after the Winn-Dixie store in Melrose will soon be converted into an Aldi.
