FLEMING ISLAND – Seven with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office were recognized as part of Sonny’s BBQ’s Random Acts of BBQ. The restaurant chain selected the agency because it “truly impacts our community,” Kindness Officer Kevin Atkinson said. “We need to celebrate the heroes and our fans, all the incredible things that you do as individuals, people, your lives on the line,” he said. All seven received gift cards to the restaurant, and they were treated to pulled pork and barbecue chicken lunch.”
