Grant Application Public Meeting

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Clay County Board of County Commissioners (BCC), will hold a public comment meeting on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss the BCC’s submission of a grant application for Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program (FRDAP) funding to the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to fund the project described below.

This meeting is for the sole purpose of discussing the following proposed project that the BCC plans on submitting to the DEP to fund under the FRDAP to benefit Clay County:

Construction of a wetlands boardwalk with associated observation decks located at Moccasin Slough Park, 4393 Raggedy Point Rd., Fleming Island. The estimated funding request for this project is $200,000.

Members of the public are invited to attend and be heard at the meeting which will be held at the Fleming Island Library, 1895 Town Center Blvd., on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. Additionally, the public may submit comments through the BCC’s website at www.claycountygov.com or via email to megan.mosley@claycountygov.com during the online public comment period which begins Thursday, July 21, and closes on Friday, August 12 at close of business. Agencies, groups, and members of the public are invited and encouraged to share their ideas and comments regarding this project with County staff.
