NOTICE TO CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT FIRMS Request for Qualifications (RFQ) For Construction Management at Risk Services

The School Board of Clay County, Office of Facilities Planning and Construction announces that Construction Management At-Risk services are required for the following Projects:
Classroom Additions
Responses are due on or before February 1, 2024 and will be accepted until 3:30 p.m.
The selected Construction Manager(s) will provide preconstruction services including value engineering, constructability analysis, and estimating, as well as, developing a (GMP) Guaranteed Maximum Price.
Scope of Work: Clay County District Schools is utilizing a “prototype reuse design” to construct new classroom wing additions across the district. The project scope shall consist of construction of a new classroom wing addition at the following locations:
1. Lake Asbury Junior High School - Classroom Addition (32 Classrooms, approximately 29,850sf) on time and ready for students Fall 2025.
2. Oakleaf Junior High School - Classroom Addition (32 Classrooms, approximately 29,850sf) on time and ready for students Fall 2025.
3. Lake Asbury Elementary School – Classroom Addition (24 Classrooms, approximately 22,387sf) on time and ready for students Fall 2026.
4. RideOut Elementary School – Classroom Addition (12 Classrooms, approximately 11,200sf) on time and ready for students Fall 2026.
Selection of finalists for interviews will be made on the basis of construction manager qualifications, including but not limited to experience and ability, financial capability, record keeping/administrative ability, critical path scheduling expertise, cost estimating, cost control ability, quality control ability, qualifications of firm’s personnel, staff and consultants, distance from the construction site, and general knowledge of project type.
Only firms having been pre-qualified by the School Board of Clay County are eligible to submit for this project. A firm that has not been pre-qualified is not eligible to submit for this project per Florida Statutes.
