NOTICE OF PROPOSED DESIGNATION OF SPECIMEN TREE

THE PUBLIC IS HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Board of County Commissioners of Clay County, Florida, will hold a public hearing, on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as can be heard. The hearing will be held in the BCC Meeting Room, 4th Floor, Clay County Administration Building, 477 Houston St, Green Cove Springs, Florida. The proposed ordinance is entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CLAY COUNTY, FLORIDA, PURSUANT TO ARTICLE VI OF THE CLAY COUNTY LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE, KNOWN AS THE TREE PROTECTION AND LANDSCAPING STANDARDS ADOPTED PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO. 2003-19, AS AMENDED, PROVIDING FOR THE DESIGNATION OF AN 83” QUERCUS VIRGINIANA LOCATED ON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY (TAX PARCEL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER 28-05-26-014323-000-00) AS A SPECIMEN TREE; PROVIDING A DESCRIPTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Interested parties may appear at the hearing and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance. After the public hearing the Board may take immediate action on the proposed ordinance, or may continue its deliberations to a date, time and place then announced without publishing further notice thereof. A copy of the proposed ordinance is available for inspection by the public at the Clay County Planning and Zoning Division, Third Floor of the Administration Building, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays.
Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, a person deciding to appeal any decision made by the Board of County Commissioners with respect to any matter considered at the hearing or at any subsequent hearing to which the Board has continued its deliberations is advised that such person will need a record of all proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of all proceedings is made, which must include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
