Public Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of the Town of Orange Park will hold a public hearing on an ordinance of the Town of Orange Park, Clay County, Florida, enacting into law amendments to the Police Officers’ Pension Plan; allowing for the optional participation of the Police Chief at the time of appointment; establishing standards for reemployment after retirement, reemployment after early retirement, reemployment of terminated vested persons, and reemployment of deferred retirement option plan participants; extending the maximum period of deferred retirement option plan participation from sixty months to ninety-six months; providing for conflict, severability and an immediate effective date.
This public hearing will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 in the Orange Park Town Hall Council Chambers, the corner of Park and Kingsley Avenue at 7:00 P.M. The Council of the Town of Orange Park will consider said ordinance for final action. Any person deciding to appeal any decision made by the Council of the Town of Orange Park with respect to any matter considered at this meeting or hearing will need a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record would include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. Copies of this ordinance may be examined in the office of the Town Clerk, Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. Interested parties may attend the meeting and be heard.
