Fish Tales
Cole LeClair, graduated Middleburg High School football All-Stater and future Valdosta State University scholarship player, shows off his eight pound, 3.7 ounce 23-inch bass caught at White Springs’ Bienville Plantation on Sat., May 9. LeClair’s fishing line was impeded by a phenomena called “birdnesting” where the fish line becomes balled up off the reel causing LeClair to adapt and improvise before landing the fish in about two minutes. Dad Larry LeClair shows off his much smaller 21-inch, five pounder caught in a rock pile.
