GREEN COVE SPRINGS – The Clay County Agriculture Fair was canceled by the COVID-19 pandemic, but the event still earned recognition from the Florida

Winners of the annual SUNsational Awards were announced during their 26th annual convention and tradeshow. This year the conference was held in person and virtually. The program recognizes members' innovation, individuality and creative collaboration.

The Clay County Agricultural Fair earned the following awards:

• First place for installation and wraps for what would have been the new main gate entrance.

• First place for promotion item for our sponsor gifts.

• First place for tickets and invitations.

• Second place for Website.

• Third place for crisis communication plan and response for COVID-19 response.

• Third place for promotional mailer.

• Third place for radio ads.

• Third place for T-shirt design.

Also, Clay County Agricultural Fair General Manager, Tasha Hyder was installed as an officer for the Florida Festival and Events Association during the conference. Tasha will serve as Secretary for the 2020-21 year. Hyder has been on the Board of Directors for the past five years.

For the past 26 years, the Florida Festivals & Events Association has celebrated our members' achievements in event marketing, programming, service and innovation through the SUNsational Awards. Although the annual fair was cancelled this year due to COVID-19, the fair was still eligible for awards.
