KEYSTONE HEIGHTS – The Inn at Palmetto allows guests to enjoy the small-town experience with a careful blend of history and modern amenities.

Originally built in 1925 as a winter home, Kerry and Brad Collins bought and renovated the house to give guests a unique and charming stay.

“It’s a historic inn in downtown Keystone Heights,” Kerry Collins said. “The house was built in 1925, and we thoughtfully renovated it to keep the historic characteristics of the house but combine it with modern conveniences, which are your electric, plumbing, and AC.”

This two-story inn offers three charming decorated rooms that guests can rent. In addition, guests can enjoy the surrounding scenery through the inn’s wraparound porch and sunroom. Other amenities the inn offers are a living room, a dining room and a laundry room. A continental breakfast and coffee and tea are available every morning.

The Inn at Palmetto offers more than a place to stay. Located in the heart of the downtown, the inn provides guests with a unique opportunity to experience small-town life during their stay. Due to its location, guests are only a short distance from local parks, Lake Geneva, local restaurants and riding trials.

“You really get a sense of not just Keystone Heights but old Florida and that sense of hometown feel that people love to have,” Kerry Collins said.

The Collins are excited to be offering guests the charming small-town experience. Since its opening in March, the inn has gained foot traffic and continues growing. Collins sees the inn as bringing benefits to the community. She sees the town receiving increased revenue as guests shop and dine at the local restaurants. The town will get greater exposure while fostering a sense of interest in the city. She hopes the inn will bring a sense of inspiration for individuals to invest in the community.

“When they see other people investing in the community and making an effort, hopefully, it will inspire them to invest in their community as well,” she said.
