GAINESVILLE  – Clay High School senior Emma Heck has been selected the 2025 Florida Dairy Farmers Miss Weightlifting with Fleming Island High's girls weightlifting coach Sean Coultis taking the 2025 Florida Dairy Farmers Girls Weightlifting Coach of the Year, according to a Florida Dairy Farmer press release.

Heck, who finishes her career at Clay as a four-time state champion, dominated the Class 2A 139-pound division, winning the Traditional (405 pounds combined lifts) and Olympic-style (410 pounds) competitions. Her 185-pound snatch set a state record. After winning three state titles in the 129-pound division, Heck moved up to the 139-pound division in 2025 and set a state record by winning her fourth straight state championship.
The other finalists included Class 3A Lifter-of-the-Year Alyssa Barcz of Mitchell, who won both the Traditional and Olympic titles in the 139-pound class, and Class 1A Lifter-of-the-Year McKenzie Hatcher of Wewahitchka, who swept both titles in the 154-pound division.

Sean Coultis of Fleming Island High School earned Coach-of-the-Year honors after leading his squad to a share of the Class 2A state title in the Olympic-style competition, the program’s first state championship. Coultis' team earned just 16 points to tie with Leesburg for the Olympic title in one of the tightest team finishes in recent history with River Ridge third at 15, New Smyrna Beach at 14 and Ridgeview of Orange Park fifth with 12 points. The other coaching finalists were Ty Wise of Pace (3A) and Bobby Johns of Wewahitchka (Class 1A).
Coultis, who also finished third in Traditional behind Middleburg and Leesburg, had his own double state champion Bradi Johnson (Olympics and Traditional at 119) in 2025, plus, as the boys weightlifting coach at Fleming Island, got two state titles at Unlimited from Kevin Reyes. Reyes did not compete in 2025 as he was committed to play college football.

Coultis and Middleburg High coach Rhiannon Weiskopf added to the list of Clay County coaches; led by Clay's Rodney Keller with back to back titles, to win state team titles plus a handful of individual state titles in girls weightlifting.

Oakleaf High's Tamira Briley was the previous area recipient of the Florida Dairy Farmers Girls Weightlifting award in 2022.
The Florida Dairy Farmers High School Sports Awards program exemplifies Florida Dairy Farmers' commitment to the state's youth. This is the 33rd year of these unique awards as we honor the state's top athletes and coaches in all FHSAA sanctioned and recognized sports. The program also emphasizes to young people the importance of keeping dairy products a primary part of their diet in their overall nutrition plan.
