Green Cove Springs – When Pastor John Sanders asked the True Vine Fellowship congregation to step outside the tented church, nobody – especially Crystal Chisholm – expected what happened next. Sanders talked about one of his parishioners who had been driving in the sweltering Florida heat without air conditioning for the past three summers. When Sanders pulled a set of keys from his pocket, he turned to Chisholm and said a Toyota parked a few feet away was hers. “I never expected anything like this,” she said between sobs. “Praise the Lord.” The car was donated by friends of Joseph Smith. Parts were supplied by the church and the work was completed by World Wide Auto. “It makes you feel good when you see people come together for good,” Sanders said. And for Chisholm, who drives several children to church, she finally got to drive home with the windows up and the air conditioning blowing cold air.
