1. Decorative pencil pouch
This craft idea was shared by the website Mama Miss. First, pick up a white canvas pouch, along with ultra fine point pens. Use the pens to design the pouch with whatever comes to mind. Make sure to slip a piece of plastic (a notebook sleeve cover or transparency sheet) so the ink doesn’t seep through. This custom project will give your child a unique way to express themselves. You can even add some fun stickers for the finishing touches.
2. Scented pencils
A simple step-by-step guide for these was shared by the website Cut Out + Keep. First, you will need to grab some regular, unused yellow pencils, along with your child’s favorite liquid scents, such as essential oils, fruit juice, perfume, extracts or even soda. Using transparent tape and recycling paper, wrap your pencils from top to bottom. Next, fill a bowl with water slightly to the top and add in the liquid. Submerge the pencils in the bowl for 1 to 3 hours. Following that, put the pencils on a plate and leave them to dry for an additional 1 to 3 hours. Once dry, take the papers off.
