Touch A Truck: What Moves Clay rescheduled for Nov. 2
GREEN COVE SPRINGS—Three weeks after Hurricane Helene delayed it, Touch A Truck: What Moves Clay County will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Clay County Fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Large and small vehicles will be on display for children to touch and sit in. This is a rare opportunity to see the cars and trucks used by law enforcement, fire rescue, the school district, farming, the military and construction and service companies.
From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Touch A Truck will observe quiet hours for those with visible and hidden disabilities. Horns, engines and sirens will be silenced to help some better adapt to the event. At 11, children will be allowed to engage sirens and horns as they explore the greenhouse of a law enforcement or fire rescue vehicle.
Food trucks, indoor and outdoor activities, giveaways, local organizations, and county services booths will be available.
Admission and parking are free.
