Soul Food Festival hosts first 'Youth Sneaker Ball'
FLEMING ISLAND — The Soul Food Festival hosted its inaugural Youth Sneaker Ball last Saturday. The dance acted as a fundraising event for the upcoming annual festival in Green Cove Springs.
Children ages 4 to 13 were greeted with a red-carpet entry, dressed to impress in their formal attire and casual sneakers. The event, held at R.M. Paterson Elementary, featured music, dancing, food, face painting, giveaways, games and a fashion show.
