CLAY COUNTY – Many have seen what Seeds of Love has done providing new clothing to children in need and their families. Now, Melissa Rodriguez, the president and founder of the charity, is asking for help finding storage space. Seeds of Love currently rents four large storage units to protect their inventory. Several volunteers were storing clothes in their homes but ran out of space. Seeds of Love is one of the few charities without salaries, including all staff. All donations are used to buy clothing instead of paying rent. Seeds of Love needs storage space of 2,500 to 3,000 square feet. It could be a warehouse, vacant storefront or space that Rodriguez could share with another charity or business. Being a 501(c)(3) charity, Seeds of Love could be used as a tax write-off, or the nonprofit could pay partial rent.
