Rosemary Winfield Howard, born April 24, 1948, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, died peacefully on January 21, 2026, at the age of 77. She was a dedicated educator, lawyer, and avid tennis player. She is survived by her loving husband, Captain Robert M. Howard, U.S. Navy (Ret.), and their children: Michael Howard (Amanda), David Howard, stepdaughter Sarah Howard (Robert), and granddaughter Kennedy Rose Howard. Her siblings include Ann Dawkins of Temecula, CA; Susan Lance (Skip) of Stratford, CT; Jane Bourdeau of Cheshire, CT; Martha Bodington (Drew) of Stratford, CT; and George Hermann (Janine) of Suffield, CT. Predeceased by sister Kathleen Hermann, she also leaves many nieces and nephews. Visitation is at 1pm on February 3, 2026, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Orange Park, FL with funeral to follow.
