According to the county, two boardwalk sections near County Road 220 will remain closed during the completion of Phase 1. Work is expected to last a month.
Phase 2, which will begin after Phase 1 has ended, is said to impact the boardwalk along Highway 17 between Harbor Island Drive and Pace Island Trace. Work for this phase is expected to last around three months.
The rest of the trail is still open for use.
