ORANGE PARK - At Tuesday's meeting, the council approved an ordinance rezoning 211 Campbell Ave. to a planned unit development.
The decision to rezone the property, initially a residential, single-family development, didn’t come without resident opposition.
Some residents cited the development potentially bringing increased noise and traffic congestion to the surrounding neighborhoods.
However, the council remained steadfast on their decision to approve, but not without some conditions, including a requirement to include a designated amount of trees in the lot and grounds that if development is not completed 18 months from approval, the project is subject to becoming invalid.
