John Curley Landreneau, Jr., age 59, of Orange Park, FL was called home by the Lord on March 13, 2025. He was born on May 14, 1965 to John Curley Landreneau, Sr. and Patricia Alice Gieser Landreneau in Homestead, FL. John was an exemplary employee with W.W. Grainger for 36 years. John’s faith in God and his unfailing devotion to his family and multitude of friends provided him with comfort and peace as he made his transition to his heavenly home. John loved spending time with family and friends as well as riding his beloved Harley. He was known affectionately as “Guardrail” to his wide circle of friends. John was blessed to enjoy 34 years of recovery and was instrumental in working with many men and women as they began their journey in recovery. John will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and genuine care and concern for his family, co-workers and friends.
Mr. Landreneau was preceded in death by his sister, Lynn Marie Landreneau and his step-mother, Thelma Landreneau. He is survived by his father, John C. Landreneau, Sr. and his mother, Patricia Gieser, his wife Yvonne Locklear Landreneau, daughter, Noelle Vilim (Jiri), bonus daughters, Hilary Burchfield (Jeff Gorman) Hannah Burchfield and Avery Burchfield. John was the youngest of 4 boys and is survived by his brothers, Robert, Joseph and Kenneth Landreneau (Chris). “Papa John” is survived by his grandchildren, Brooks, Abby, Sally, Emily, Madeleine, Oliver, Elliot and Raiden as well as his niece Amber Landreneau and nephews Andrew and Kenny Landreneau.
Services will be held Monday, March 31, 2025 at 1:30 pm at River Christian Church 5900 US 17 Fleming Island, FL 32003. In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests donations be made in John’s memory to Eternal Hope in Haiti – Hope Haven whose ministry provides much needed medical care, food and shelter to unhoused children.
