The smell of pumpkin spice permeates the air, Christmas decorations are up in the stores two months early and temperatures are only in the mid-to-high 80s. That means Fall is finally here.

Nothing ushers in the Fall season more than a festival, and nobody does festivals like Clay County.

So put your blue jeans on, put the wagon in the trunk and get ready to have some fun at any of the many festivals in the community, like:

Amazing Grace Family Farms Fall Festival will be on Oct. 11-12, Oct. 14, Oct. 18-19, Oct. 25-26, Nov. 1-2 at 4251 State Road 21 in Green Cove Springs. Hours are 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday. The family-friendly event includes many photo opportunities, a crop maze, games, food, entertainment, tug-a-war, pumpkin patches, a corn crib, a jump pad, farm animals, a cow train, boardwalk games and bubble hoops. O2b Spooktakular will be on Oct. 19 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at O2b Preschool, 1821 Town Center Blvd., Fleming Island. Members are free and will be treated to candy and prizes. Parents are free with guests with paid admission.

The Orange Park Fall Festival is on Oct. 19-20 at Town Hall Park, 2042 Park Ave., from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. With more than 100 vendors, games, food trucks, artists, kids zone activities and live music stages, the 42nd annual event is one of the largest in Northeast Florida.

Trinity Community Church Fall Festival is Oct. 20 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 6865 Pine Ave. on Fleming Island. The free event includes barbecue sandwiches, snacks, games, prizes, arts and crafts, petting and horse rides at the Batton Family ranch.

The Balloon Glow and Laser Show Hot Air Balloon Festival will be on Oct. 25-26 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Clay County Fairgrounds. In addition to tethered balloon rides, there will be crafts and vendor booths, food, live music, games and a laser show. For tickets, visit freshtix.com.

• The St. Luke Annual Festival is on Oct. 25-27 at 1606 Blanding Blvd. in Middleburg. The hours are 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Oct. 25, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Oct. 26 and noon to 5 p.m. on Oct. 27. There will be carnival rides, games, food and live music with fireworks on Oct. 26 at 9:30 p.m.

Pumpkin Palooza will be on Oct. 26 at the Orange Park Mall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Children ages 4 through 12 can paint a pumpkin, taste treats, and enjoy storytime with Books-A-Million near the play area at the Food Court.

The First Baptist Church of Middleburg Fall Festival will be held on Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 2645 Blanding Blvd. The family-friendly event will feature a trunk-or-treat for the children, free bounce houses, and items for purchase from food trucks.

Green Cove Springs 150-Year Celebration will be on Nov. 2 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Spring Park. Join the city as it celebrates its 150th birthday with food trucks, live music, a car show and fireworks over the St. Johns River.

The Fall Festival Block Party at 7145 SE County Road 21B in Keystone Heights will be on Nov. 9 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free, and there will be games, food, a kids' zone, vendors, face painting, cotton candy, popcorn and live music by Crooked Counsel.

The Middleburg Historic Fall Festival and Car Show will be on Nov. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Middleburg Civic Association, 2102 Palmetto St. You can hear live music, see a historic display and car show, enjoy crafts, a petting zoo, bounce house and vendors.
