On a post made to Facebook in February, Market Force Commercial Real Estate announced the leasing of the 5,600 square-foot space at 2475 Blanding Boulevard. After working diligently to find the right tenant, they said the new seafood restaurant "Off the Hook" is coming soon to the vacant building.
The restaurant is expected to open before the end of this year, according to the agency.
The space was previously home to Cedar River Seafood until they permanently closed back in 2022. The popular restaurant chain had been located there for 27 years. They were later converted into the Cedar River Catering food trailer.
Cedar River Seafood has one other Clay County location in Keystone Heights at 7414 State Road 21.
