ORANGE PARK – Less than an hour into the Drug Take Back Day promotion at the Orange Park Police Department, officials with the department, the Lions Club and Clay County Health Department had already filled one large box of unwanted and unneeded prescription pills. And the pace didn’t slow down.
Orange Park and the Clay County Fire Rescue’s Paramedicine department, located on College Drive, participated in the national DEA program last Saturday. They collected hundreds of pounds of pills, ensuring they won’t be taken mistakenly or misused.
