Harold Bence Owens, 81, of Green Cove Springs passed away peacefully at his home on March 30, 2025. He was born July 17, 1943 in Grundy, Virginia to Clarence and Daisy Owens. He was married to his late wife, Arlene, for 48 years. Harold was a proud US Army Reserve Veteran attached to the 159th transportation battalion from 1962 to 1968. He later worked for the Georgia Pacific Mill in Palatka, Florida for 32 years. In his free time, he enjoyed watching wrestling, offshore fishing, scuba diving and woodworking. Harold is survived by his daughter, Pamela Truesdell (Johnny), his granddaughter, Brandi Acres (Mel), his grandson, John Truesdell, his brother, Johnny Owens, sister, Glenna Wilson (George) and sister Bonnie Kevern (Robert). Harold was proceeded in death by his parents, his brother, Jimmy Owens and sister, Barbara Spencer. Visitation will be held Monday, April 7, 2025 from 10:00-11:00 am at Little Ruth Old Regular Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs followed by a memorial and graveside service from 11:00-12:00pm with Elder Terry Fuller officiating.
