For Clay Today

GREEN COVE SPRINGS- Haydin Storey, kindergartner at Charles E. Bennett Elementary School, was honored by Sonny's BBQ as part of the company's Random Acts of Kindness Week.

Random Acts of Kindness Week is Sonny's way of recognizing those who make a difference, and this year Sonny's is celebrating students who are making a difference in their schools.

Haydin was nominated by her teacher, who couldn’t say enough great things about her, sharing that kindness is just in her DNA.

"She never seeks attention or recognition. She simply loves making others feel special and she goes out of her way to welcome new classmates. When a new student joined their class and seemed a little shy, Haydin stepped up in the most thoughtful way. She created personalized note cards to help him understand the class schedule and guided him through the new routine, ensuring he felt comfortable and included."

To celebrate Haydin, Sonny's surprised her classroom with BBQ and presented her with a certificate, gifts and all her favorite snacks.
