CLAY COUNTY- The Florida Supervisors of Elections are offering college students across the state a scholarship opportunity.
The three $1,200 scholarships are eligible to any applicant who is a registered voter in the state of Florida and has lived in the state for the preceding two years. The applicants must be studying either political science, public administration, business administration or journalism/Mass Communications.
Students must also be enrolled full-time in a senior college or university in Florida and have maintained a 'C' average or above for the previous year.
The deadline to apply is Mar. 7. Applications are available for pickup at the Clay County Supervisors of Elections Office in Green Cove Springs or at www.clayelections.gov.
They must be submitted in the county the student in registered to vote in. Each will select one finalist to send to the FSE Committee for consideration.
