The Florida Forest Service said the Jacksonville District will be conducting several prescribed burning operations on Jan. 24 for silviculture and hazardous removal purposes.
The first prescribed burning operation will take place on Belmore State Forest near Thelton Road and Creek Pass Road, for a total of 118-acres. The second burning operation will take place on Jennings State Forest near Live Oak Lane and Bell Cemetery Road, for a total of 193-acres.
They ask that those in the area exercise caution.
