The suicide rate for people 15-to-24 years old in the county was 17.7 for every 100,000 people in 2023, which is greater than the national average of 13.5 and the state average of 11.9. Equally troubling is that Clay County District Schools reported 661 homeless students are registered for the 2025-26 school year.
