ORANGE PARK — PACE Center for Girls is collecting gently used prom dresses, shoes and accessories to ensure its girls can attend prom this year.
Asbury United Methodist Church of Orange Park is accepting donations on behalf of PACE Monday through Thursday this month from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 16 College Drive and Blanding Boulevard. The church requests donations without rips or stains.
According to PACE, its therapists and counselors offer social, emotional, behavioral and support services for girls between 11-17 and their families for life-skills training and career preparation to develop individualized approaches based on each girl’s unique strengths, life experiences and needs.
For most, it doubles the likelihood of graduation compared to girls with the same risk factors in curbing unemployment and involvement with the juvenile justice system.
