Max Williams, a graduate of Clay High School, was selected by the Miami Marlins in the third round of the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft. He was selected No. 78 overall. The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp are the minor league affiliation to the Miami Marlins.
Williams played in 119 games, starting 107, in two seasons at FSU. Williams just finished his junior season as an outfielder.
As a junior, in 57 games and 234 at-bats, he hit .316 with 74 hits, nine doubles, 53 RBI, 140 total bases and 47 runs scored. He notched a .598 slugging percentage and walked 19 times with two stolen bases in three attempts. He had a fielding percentage of .991 came with 111 putouts and three assists in center field.
