GREEN COVE SPRINGS—Cars of Purpose was founded to serve the community by supporting all those affected by life-altering illnesses and diseases. The organization's goal is to raise awareness, support those fighting and assist with medical expenses. It does this through a car show and a car stereo competition.
The Rev out Cancer’s The Pink Out Show will be Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 18-19, at the Clay County Fairgrounds, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sponsored by Jacksonville Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, Wide Open Performance and Duval Car Club Cancer Awareness, the event will benefit breast cancer awareness. Registration is $35, with awards going to the most pinked-out vehicle. Registration for the audio competition is $25. Guests are encouraged to bring candy for children. Funds will be collected for the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation.
There will be vendors, food trucks, more than 50 awards and some beautiful vehicles supporting these Cancer Warriors. For more information, contact marcusotalley@gmail.com.
