Arthur Everett Munro, 88 of Stella, passed away November 5th, 2024 under Hospice care at his home in Stella.
Arthur was born September 25th, 1936, in Hanover, MA to Ronald Geyer Munro and Avis Louise (Hammond) Munro.
He graduated from Hanover High School in 1955 and served in the U.S. Navy for 8 years. When he got out of service he started working for Perkins Engineering and enrolled in Northeastern University, Boston, MA and graduated with a degree in Engineering. He married Virginia Eleanor (Corbett) Dean on July 9, 1966. They lived in Norwell, MA until he and his wife Ginny moved to Jacksonville, NC to be closer to her daughter, Pam and Gerry Consalvi and their family.
Arthur was a loving husband, brother, stepfather, and friend and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Arthur was predeceased by his wife Virginia Corbett Dean Munro, parents Ronald and Avis Munro, and brothers Bernard E. Munro and Charles W. Munro. He is survived by his sisters Doris E. Small of Orange Park, FL, Freda E. Lee of Orange Park, FL, and Lorraine A Edwards of Hanson, MA; Step-daughter Pamela Consalvi and husband Gerry of Jacksonville, NC and Valerie Gray of MA; step-son Kenneth Dean of Jacksonville, NC; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Arthur will be laid to rest at the Coastal Carolina State Veteran’s Cemetery, services will be private per family request.
