Sanderson man charged with brawling with CCSO deputies

MIDDLEBURG – A man already in custody following an altercation on Feb. 23, went into a rage and racked up five additional charges for fighting five Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputies and resisting arrest.

Christian Blake Lee, 25, of Sanderson, in addition to the struggle with deputies, Lee was also charged with two counts of vandalism and domestic battery.

According to the arrest report, a family called CCSO about an assault. When they got there, Lee was gone. He was arrested after he was tracked down about a half-mile away.

After being placed in the backseat of the patrol car, Lee slipped his handcuffed hands under his feet and to his front while kicking the back door of the car.

When deputies removed him from the car to re-handcuff him, he brawled with them by “flailing his arms,” head-butting, kicking, scratching and spitting on deputies. He was tackled and finally subdued. Lee was fitted with leg shackles and his hands were handcuffed to a chain around his waist with he was taken from the patrol car to the Clay County Jail.

Judge James E. Kallaher set Lee’s bond at $270,022.
