MELROSE—Rooterville Animal Sanctuary, a nonprofit organization that provides a home for rescued farm animals, proudly announces its 20th anniversary of dedicated service and transformative impact.

Since its inception in 2004, Rooterville has been steadfast in its commitment to teaching people around our region about farm animals and how kindness and compassion can foster a better place for people and animals. Over the past two decades, the organization has been pivotal in homing hundreds of animals and enlightening tens of thousands of visitors.
Rooterville has successfully opened new ventures available to the public to further their educational goals. These new experiences include nightly covered wagon rentals where guests who visit the sanctuary can have a unique experience staying on property with more than 100 animals. Additionally, Rooterville now offers cow and goat “cuddling,” where individuals can get up close and personal with the farm animals and complete supervised tasks such as feeding and brushing. Anyone can schedule a time to meet the animals and tour the sanctuary.
Rooterville will hold a 20th-anniversary celebration on April 13 from 5-8 p.m. at the farm sanctuary. Guests will have opportunities to meet the animals, enjoy live music, wine, vegan light bites and support the sanctuary through a silent auction. Tickets for the celebration are available at rooterville.org.

"We are immensely proud to reach this 20-year mark, and it is a testament to the dedication and passion of our team, partners, and supporters," said Elaine West, President and Founder.

"Throughout the years, Rooterville has evolved and adapted to the changing needs of our community, and we remain steadfast in our mission to make a lasting impact," said West.
The organization invites the community to celebrate its 20th year in operation and looks forward to continued collaboration and support.
