How do you handle pressure? You will face pressure and many people do not know how to handle it.
The stress of life weighs upon us. It may be from difficulties in finances, relationships, job issues, sickness, death … the list goes on!
There are many ways that people try to deal with it. Too many turn to a false crutch such as alcohol or drugs that does not help. Then there are those who succumb to anger and lash out toward others. Some sink into depression.
The Word of God has a solution for dealing with pressure as it does for all the issues of life. We are encouraged to “cast all our care upon Him because He cares for us.” If you can bow at the cross with the pressure of life upon you, then rise and leave all your cares there, you will have victory over all the burdens that press you down.
And you can do that knowing that the Lord wants to lift your burdens that press upon you. He may not totally remove them, but he wants to lift them with you. He is your burden bearer or the One who bears every burden with you.
Jesus said, “Come unto me all you who are heavily burdened and I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11:28) His words are a promise to every person who has succumbed to the pressures of life and bowed in surrender under the load. He will lift your burden. He will come to your rescue. He will give you rest from the pressures of life.
You can trust Him because He is in the arena of your daily life with you. He knows everything that plagues you and He is with you. He is the Helper that you need.
“Come every soul by sin oppressed, there’s mercy with the Lord
And He will surely give you rest by trusting in His word.”
