Hamm graduates from War College
CARLISLE, Penn. – Col. Kevin Hamm, Georgia Army National Guard, graduated from the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Penn. with a master’s degree in Strategic Studies on July 28.
Gen. David G. Perkins, Commdr., U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, addressed the graduates and encouraged them to invest this education in their units.
“The educational highlight of this program, for me, was analyzing the Middle Eastern government's strategic challenges,” Hamm said.
A resident of Fleming Island, Hamm is a native of Jacksonville. His parents live near him on Fleming Island. He serves as the Commander, 648 Military Engagement Team, Ga. ARNG, Fort Benning, Ga. After graduation, Hamm will deploy to the Middle East with a team to coordinate military to military engagements for Army Central Command.
The U.S. Army War College’s two-year distance education program develops senior military officers from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard, as well as senior foreign military officers and civilian officials from a variety of federal agencies, to serve in strategic level command and staff positions worldwide.
