Clay Countians complete Air Force training

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Two Clay County residents recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas.

The two trainees completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Airman Jacarri E. Youman is the nephew of Carl and Mary King of Jacksonville and a 2016 graduate of Oakleaf High School.

Air Force National Guard Airman 1st Class Dario M. Steckley, son of Michael R. Steckley of Green Cove Springs and Bobbi Steckley of Fleming Island, is a 2017 graduate of Fleming Island High School.
