Mercedes M. Crump

Mercedes M. Crump passed away on December 26, 2023, at age 101. She was born on February 24, 1922, in Oriente Province, Cuba to Jose and Marcella Vasquez.

She is survived by her children, Wanda Heck (Rick), Duel Crump, Betty Cook, Bert Brown (Rick) and Samuel Crump, Jr., grandchildren, Israel Dyson (Cathy), Kristen Brown Kaffa (Nick), Kerry Brown, Samuel Crump, III, Angie Starks (Al), James Cook; great-grandchildren, Tyler Dyson Taylor Thompson, Russell Thompson, Colby Thompson and Noelle Thompson and a host of relatives and friends.

The family extends a special thank you to Community Hospice.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073, (904) 264-1233.

She will be laid to rest at Jacksonville, Memory Gardens, Orange Park.
