St. Johns Country Day School soccer suffered a 3-1 loss to 6A powerhouse Tallahassee Chiles on Friday in a clash of state powers. Sophomore forward Sydney Schmidt had a lone goal for the Lady Spartans. Chiles, 6-0-1, lost in the region semifinal last year to eventual Class 6A champion Gulf Breeze. St. Johns was the Class 2A runner-up.
