Edward John Heise

Edward John Heise 91, of Middleburg, FL passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023. Edward was born in Somerville, Massachusetts to parents Carl and Marion Mansfield Heise. He moved to the Jacksonville and North Florida area in 1951. Edward served in the Navy and then Naval reserves for over 20 years. He also worked Civil service for NADEP Jacksonville for over 30 years. He was a member of the Masonic Order for 59 years as well as many other associations, including being a member of the VFW for 20 plus years. Edward was a man who served his country, community and family with his whole heart.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Marion Heise; brother, Carl Heise; sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” Davidson, Helen Razzaboni and Peggy Rhodes and son-in-law, Jack Montpetit.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Heise; sons Randall Heise (Barbara), Lyle Heise (Pam); Step-sons, P.J. Seitz (Brenda) and Nevin Seitz (Sharron); daughters, Sara Ellen Heise Beatie (Bill) and Mickey Rawls-Heise Montpetit; Grandchildren, Amy Thomas, Will Beatie, Ryan Seitz , Tiffany Pyle (DJ), Gene Knaggee (Peggy), Brian Knaggee (Amber) and Paige Bogan; Nine (9) great-grandchildren; Five (5) great-great grandchildren and his best friend, Howard Hall and his other Masonic brothers.

A Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023 at the Middleburg Masonic Lodge, 2100 Palmetto Street. Middleburg, FL 32068.
