ORANGE PARK – A traffic stop for running a stop sign escalated into a trafficking methamphetamine charge for an Orange Park woman on June 27.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Brandy Kay O’Brien, 47, was arrested after K-9 Odin alerted deputies of the likely presence of illegal narcotics inside her car after she was pulled over when a deputy said she didn’t stop while turning right onto Peoria Road.
Deputies found a zip pouch containing four hypodermic needles and six plastic bags containing methamphetamine.
Her bond is $250,003, and she was warned for not stopping at the sign.
