Andrew Campbell, a swim specialist; backstroke, at Fleming Island High School, continued his swim career at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy with some competition on the Academy’s water polo team, and is now pushing to become a Coast Guard helicopter pilot.
Campbell joined the Coast Guard in 2014 and graduated in 2018. Campbell served on a boat for a year before going to flight school for the VT-3 squadron with former Fleming Island High swim teammate Stuart Jamieson.
Campbell was selected as a helicopter pilot candidate and plans on doing search and rescue for the Coast Guard.
