KEYSTONE HEIGHTS – Tyson Athletics is a sports massage therapy clinic that just recently opened its doors to the Lakes Region.

It offers massage therapy to athletes, veterans and the general public. Sports therapy, deep tissue Swedish massage, Gua Sha, and aromatherapy are some of the services Tyson Athletics provides. The clinic also provides personalized therapeutic sport massages for their clients.

In 2021 Tyson Athletics was established as a mobile massage service for athletes and veterans in Florida. Tara Tyson, owner and licensed massage therapist, has had more than 15 years of experience in conditioning and strength training. In addition, she has the knowledge and training to help people with their injuries, preventive care, and recovery.

Having a degree in exercise and sports science, Tara wanted to be a physical therapist and open her own business. In 2015 she opened her own business as a personal trainer until 2018. Eventually, Tara found her passion when she discovered a message school in Gainesville.

“I just felt like this was it. I was home,” she said.

She started Tyson Athletics as a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2017 after graduating from the Florida School of Massage.

As of recent the clinic just had their grand opening. In addition, Tara will be teaching other licensed massage therapists in sports massage.

“It’s my passion to help people feel less in pain and be able to have an active lifestyle,” Tyson said. “I’m here for athletes and the general public to help in any way I can.”

Tara grew up in Keystone Heights and has more than seven years of experience as an athlete. She ran track, played soccer and gymnastics, was a cheerleader and swimmer. She moved back to Keystone Heights from Orlando due to her father’s health. She is also a member of the American Massage Therapy.
