GREEN COVE SPRINGS - After months of construction, the Turmeric Kitchen officially cut the ribbon on its new outdoor patio installment on Friday, Oct. 3, with the help of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce.
The long-awaited addition is just in time to accompany the restaurant's 2-year anniversary.
Owners Chandeep "C.J." and Arleen Singh first opened the establishment in 2023, offering a gourmet Indian menu with authentic favorites such as Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Makhni, and Lamb Karahi. Each meal features non-GMO oil and hormone-free chicken, along with paleo, vegan and organic choices.
With the patio, C.J. said they wanted to give people who frequent the area a taste of what's inside. He said that with the restaurant's upscale atmosphere, the patio will also offer a more casual setting.
Equipped with a bar, it will be the spot for live music, as well as curated drinks and fine food.
The Turmeric Kitchen is at 3075 U.S. Highway 17, and is open Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
