• The Clay County Planning Commission votes to approve changes to the Lake Asbury master plan to include a developed land-use category as a compromise to both residents and developers.
• The Orange Park Town Council votes to allow residents to not identify themselves if they file a complaint against the code enforcement department.
• Fire guts the Blue Water Bay restaurant in Melrose.

• Parents at Clay Hill, Green Cove Springs, Ridgeview and Charles E. Bennett elementaries vote in favor of year-round schooling.
• Incumbent Dennis Frick and challenge Ted Coleman each receive 438 votes during the election for a seat on the Orange Park Town Council.

• The county rules that bright attention-garnering lighted signs on Bland Boulevard are against the law.
• The City of Green Cove Springs agress to sell the Rosemary Hill Landfill to Clay County for $1,450 an acre and the promise the city can use the landfill for 10 years for free.
• Residents tell the BCC they oppose having a locked gate with limited access on Bayard Road with local residents having the only keys.
