• Orange Park High’s Josh Maulsby (140-pound division) and Clay High’s Cy Wainwright (heavyweight) win state wrestling titles.

• Orange Park High’s Jeremy Mineweaser will represent Clay County at the Envirothon at Ronnie Van Zant Park.
• Sheriff Scott Lancaster grounds attempts to create a Clay County Sheriff’s Office “Air Force.”
• St. Johns Country Day’s Caryn Anne Hart correctly spells “cyclical” and “wanderlust” to win the Clay County Spelling Bee.

• The Village Improvement Association in Green Cove Springs celebrates its 100th birthday.
