The Never Changing God

In a constantly changing world, where nothing seems stable, it can be comforting to know that God never changes. Every attribute of God is immutable—unchanging. While everything around us may falter and fail, God remains the same, solid as a rock, and perfect in all His ways.

Numbers 23:19 tells us, “God is not a man, so He does not lie. He is not human, so He does not change His mind. Has He ever spoken and failed to act? Has He ever promised and not carried it through?” This verse is a powerful reminder that God is not subject to the inconsistencies and shortcomings of humankind. His word is reliable, and His promises are trustworthy.

The world today may be in crisis, and it can feel like everything is spinning out of control. Economic instability, natural disasters, political unrest—these are just a few of the challenges we face. It’s easy to become overwhelmed when everything we once thought was stable begins to crumble. But amid all the uncertainty, God is always there, steady, and unchanging. Hebrews 13:8 reminds us, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” This truth brings reassurance and encouragement. No matter what we face, God’s character, love, and power remain constant.

When the ground beneath us feels shaky, we often search for something solid to hold on to. People might place their trust in relationships, careers, or material possessions, but these can change or fade away. God, however, is the one thing that never changes. He is the anchor that keeps us grounded when the storms of life hit. Isaiah 40:8 says, "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever." This verse emphasizes that while everything else is temporary, God’s word and His presence in our lives are eternal.

God is the one thing we can always rely on. When everything else is shifting, He is the firm foundation upon which we can build our lives. We can trust in His unchanging nature to guide us, support us, and keep us safe through all the storms of life. So, when you feel like everything around you is falling apart, it may be falling into place if God is your unshakable foundation. He is the same God today as He was yesterday, and He will be the same tomorrow. His love for you is constant, and His promises will never fail.
