Cadets from the St. Johns River State College Criminal Justice Academy were recently recognized for completing the Florida Corrections Officer Academy program.
The graduates include Joseph Altadonna, Andrew Goggins, Matthew Livesay, Nicholas Markessinis, Alexander Morvant, Danh Nguyen, Michael Strickland and Eddie Torres. During the ceremony, Michael Strickland received the award for Highest Academic Achiever, Joseph Altadonna received the award for Most Proficient in Firearms, and Danh Nguyen received the award for Most Improved in Physical Fitness.
The guest speaker was Larry Henry, chief of Detention Administration for the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
