St. Johns Country Day School returned to state title land with a resounding 4-0 win in the Class 1A championship game over Pine School of Stuart on Saturday, March 1, in Deland. The Lady Spartans used a 45-foot free kick goal from senior CeCe Nowicki to start the fireworks in the first half, with Nowicki also smashing a penalty kick goal in the final moments of the game. The win was the 15th state title under coach Mike Pickett. Also scoring were Victoria Sarka on a corner kick rebound and Reygan Ropero off an assist from Calli Berrang.
